5 km Tele-Monster Fun Run
The 5km Tele-Monster event is for all ages and will be a short loop away from the Alice Springs Telegraph Station, merging on to the last 2.5 km of the iconic Larapinta Trail and heading back in with competitors from other longer events.
No prizes or official times are issued for this event, as we value participation. There will be a number of random spot prizes handed out at the conclusion to attendees of the presentations.

Our Broadcast Partner: ABC
ABC Alice Springs are the proud supporters of the 5km Tele-Monster. ABC Alice Springs are our event broadcast partner for the Ekistica West Macs Monster Trail Running Festival. ABC will provide lead up media exposure and coverage, nationally, during the event. Keep an ear to ABC local Radio 783 on the AM band, or ABC News services during the event weekend for updates.

In May, the average daytime temperature is 23 degrees, with overnight lows around 7 degrees. There is approximately 11 hours of daylight and a low chance of rainfall. Generally, people find that due to the low humidity of the dry desert air, they need to drink more fluids than usual.
